# Prepare for the First Epoch

The first Epoch will work very similar to the pre-TGE seasons. You can complete the daily and seasonal tasks, hold Halo Influencer Badges to earn XP's (in order to mine and claim $HLO).

Key Changes Post-TGE:

* **XP Reset: All pre-TGE XP are already used for the Airdrop.** In the new Epoch, you’ll earn fresh XP to claim $HLO during settlement.
* **Equal XP Opportunities:** All levels of HMP earn the same XP for completing tasks, but higher-level HMPs benefit from a better boost on the XP <> $HLO conversion.
* Claim your $HLO after the settlement of an Epoch.
