Earning Mechanisms

Unlike many Q&A platforms where only answerers can earn, Bounty QA is designed to reward all participants who contribute to the system. Whether you’re a questioner, co-questioner, answerer, or peeker, there’s an opportunity to win rewards.

Let’s break down how each role can earn:

Questioners

As a questioner, you’re required to contribute a bounty for answerers, but crafting a compelling question can lead to significant rewards. A well-thought-out question can attract many peekers who pay to access the QA, and a portion of those peeking fees goes directly to you.

The general rule is simple: the more popular your question (i.e., the more peekers), the greater your rewards. By contributing an initial bounty, you have the potential to earn much more if your question gains traction and engagement.

Co-questioners

As a co-questioner, you can tag along with compelling questions by contributing to their bounty. Like questioners, you’ll receive a portion of the peeking fees generated by the QA.

The more popular the question becomes (i.e., the more peekers it attracts), the greater your rewards. By adding to the bounty, you increase the potential to earn significantly if the question gains traction and engagement.

Answerers

Specified answerers

If you are specified as an answerer:

  • You will receive the bounty directly (minus the platform fee) during the first stage.

  • Additionally, in the second stage, you’ll earn a share of the peeking fees collected from peekers.

Qualified answerers

If your answer receives recognition through votes:

  • First Stage: Questioners and co-questioners vote for the best answers. The bounty is distributed proportionally based on the number of votes your answer receives compared to others.

  • Second Stage: Peekers cast votes for their favorite answers. The more combined votes (both stage 1 and 2) your answer accumulates, the larger share of the peeking fees you’ll earn.

This system ensures that both specified and qualified answerers are rewarded fairly for their contributions.

Peekers

Peekers play a vital role in the Bounty QA ecosystem, even though they don’t contribute content directly. By paying a small fee to view the answers, peekers:

  • Drive Popularity: Their participation boosts the visibility and trendiness of a question, making it more engaging for the community.

  • Satisfy Curiosity: Gain access to all answers while contributing to the ecosystem.

  • Win the Jackpot: The very last valid peeker wins the entire QA prize pool, which consists of contributions from all participants in the previous stages.

This unique reward mechanism makes peekers an essential and exciting part of the Bounty QA experience.
