# Halo Membership Pass Promotion

**Progressing to Higher Levels**

* HMP promotion is now tied to **staking $HLO** and **Social Mining.**
* Only by contributing to the above two will you progress your HMP level.
* Check your progress bar in the Membership dashboard to track your upgrade journey.
* Only $HLO earned in the post-TGE Epoch will count towards your progress. $HLO obtained from the Airdrop or purchased on secondary markets will not contribute to your progress bar.

Promotion:

* For Level 1-3 HMP, instant promotion is available by burning a specific amount of $HLO.
* For Level 4 and above, you must contribute to both staking $HLO and Social Mining to earn promotion progress.

Porgress Bar & XP:

* After being promoted, your progress bar will reset to zero at the new level, but your XP will remain unchanged.
* Unlinking or selling your linked HMP will reset both your promotion progress and any XP earned post-TGE.
* When an Epoch ends, all XP will be converted into $HLO during settlement, while your progress will be carried over to the next Epoch.
